4 Days to Launch!
I Corinthians 13:11
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a
child: but when I became a woman, I put away childish things.
Did we…did we put
away childish things or are we adults living out our childhood dreams and
fears? Are we making decisions to make
sure what happened in our childhood is not repeated in our lives or our
children's lives? Are we making
decisions based on the past or based on God's word? What is the
props or mask for your motivation?
Marianne Williamson, a New York Times best selling author, has a few words that I would like to
share with you this morning. Maybe you
will recognize a prop or a mask that you use and will choose to put them away
so you can hear God in new way in 2017.
“The story does not
begin with grown women being massacred in the workplace or in the press. It
begins with innocent little girls who become convinced, for whatever reason,
that the girl within them isn't good enough.”
“Women are still in
emotional bondage as long as we need to worry that we might have to make a
choice between being heard and being loved.”
“What is a princess,
and what is a queen? Why is the princess often a pejorative description of a
certain type of woman, and the word queen hardly ever applied to women at all?
A princess is a girl who knows that she will get there, who is on her way perhaps
but is not yet there. She has power but she does not yet wield it responsibly.
She is indulgent and frivolous. She cries but not yet noble tears. She stomps
her feet and does not know how to contain her pain or use it creatively.
A queen is wise. She
has earned her serenity, not having had it bestowed on her but having passed
her tests. She has suffered and grown more beautiful because of it. She has
proved she can hold her kingdom together. She has become its vision. She cares
deeply about something bigger than herself. She rules with authentic power.”
“When a woman rises
up in glory, her energy is magnetic and her sense of possibility contagious.”
Please take this
with you in your heart today.
"Our deepest
fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful
beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We
ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small
does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as
children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light
shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are
liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Minister Debra
Abraham, of the Balm in Gilead Ministries, prayed and encouraged us to be who
God called us to be in His perfect will. We will live for you, we will be your
hands, feet, and voice in this season.
We thank you for being there as we have given it all for you. We glorify and honor you.
