Happy New Year!
I'm am so excited for each of you who have been with us for the past year, those who joined us for the 40 Day Surrender Fast and for those who are joining us for the first time. We are women who have made a decision to get support as we build and live lives that are committed to doing God's Will. We serve God in many different arenas: corporations, ministries, small businesses, education, the arts, athletics, in the home, in the community, and in the world. This is our space to find encouragement to continue to strive to grow and to achieve.
Yes, we have our own fiscal calendar. Our new year started on November 20, 2017, when we began the 40 Day Surrender Fast. This is when we made a commitment to Launch into our destiny for 2018. We are in week 7 of that journey and it will be EPIC!
This week I encourage you to meditate on the theme Living with Purpose. This is the title of the book by Dorothy I. Height and it chronicles her journey as an activist and it serves as a guidebook on being an activist. In this day and time, we need to understand how to be active in making a change.
You have been created with a purpose and you are called to live out your purpose. John 14:12 says
"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these…”
I encourage you to reflect on your notes from the 40 Day Surrender Fast or for those who did not join us for the Fast, think about how you will appear in 2018. Once you have it in your mind and spirit, put it in the atmosphere. A friend of mine shared on FaceBook about theming her year, I loved the idea and asked could I borrow it. So, one way you can put in in the atmosphere is creating a hashtag for your theme. My theme for 2018 is Inspire. My hashtag is #inspire2018.
