Thankful Thursday - Yes, Lord! Yes Lord! My Life is Yours!
I Peter 2:9 reads - But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do His work and speak out for Him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference He made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.
I Peter 2:6 tells of the stone God has laid in Zion and the one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame. Verse 7 says there are some who believe and to them the stone is valuable verse 8 shares for those who don't trust the stone becomes a stumbling block.
As a leader a daughter of the King, what is your perspective on being called by God? How are you responding to the Call? Is it something you trust in or stumble over? What God has called you to is exclusively for you!
Let's be thankful that God trusts you to be His instrument and share the gift He has placed inside of you. Peculiar means exclusive to ... Accept that you are one of those who God has called and membership has exclusive privileges. Verse 10 says now you are the people of God and you have received mercy! Praise God! Grace and mercy follows you all the days of your life!
Pastor Danielle shared with us that comparison is the root of insecurities. Let's be settled in who God has created us to be. Social media can lead us to try to fit in. God told us we are peculiar and chosen. Lord, thank you for calling us to be a peculiar people and for creating us to be unique.
Thank you Pastor Danielle for leading us to the feet of God. Freeing us from insecurity and judgment. Leading us to a place of celebration of who you have called us to be and accepting who we are in God.
Praise God!
