My son is social. In almost every story he shares it has the statement My friend. Which generally is followed by the question from me do you mean your team mate, your class mate? I try to explain that a person who is in a common space with you over time does not mean they are your friend.
James 2:14 - 26 explains the how Abraham was called a friend of God. Abraham's sacrificial act of his willingness to surrender Isaac to God demonstrated his faith in God's word. Faith and works are yoked partners.
During this surrender fast, ask the Lord to show you where your faith and your works are in alignment? Where is an adjustment needed? Are you working based on skewed faith or philosophy?
On this Fierce Friday, Rev. Tisha challenged us to write our philosophy, our mantra. What is it that God says you are, what is it that you say you are? Not what others have labeled you, but what has God said to you?
Live the your life representing the God in you. Live your life like it's golden!
