We are leaders. God has anointed us to be leaders. In many of coaching sessions I have been told that leadership is lonely. One states Loneliness is a required course for leadership. And for a long time I believed it…I now challenge that statement. Especially for Christian Leaders. We have God the Father. He is our friend. WE are not lonely. John Maxwell stated if you are in a leadership position, do not rely on your title to convince people to follow you. Build relationships. Win people over. Do that and you will never be a lonely leader.
Build relationships. To have good relationships it takes work.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 - The Message Bible states
9-10 It’s better to have a partner than go it alone.
Share the work, share the wealth.
And if one falls down, the other helps,
But if there’s no one to help, tough!
11 Two in a bed warm each other.
Alone, you shiver all night.
12 By yourself you’re unprotected.
With a friend you can face the worst.
Can you round up a third?
A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.
You, God and a friend
