Day 24 - The Answered Prayer

In I Chronicles 14:8-17, the scriptures recount how David is faced with the attacking Philistines on two occasions.  The first time David sought the Lord and they were defeated.  The second time they attacked David did say I know how to handle this and  respond with the same tactics.  He sought the Lord.  The Lord told him to attack them a different way.

You maybe facing situation that you have been in before and dealt with successfully. Today, the Lord is requiring us to seek His face every day, every situation.

The skills God wants to develop in us are:

• The ability to pray (Matthew 6:5-6)
• The ability to be at peace knowing he will answer (I Samuel 1:17)
• The ability to hear his direction (Luke 11:28)
•  The ability to be obedient to His word. (Luke 11:28)

You can look back over your life and see God's has been there answering your spoken and unspoken prayers.  There are some things that you have faced that others did not come through. God has kept you even when you were at your lowest moments.  God still keeps you.   If there is one thing you should know.  You will not know everything that you will face or deal with but you do know who will be there. Even when you don't feel like he is,  God is there.  How do we respond when we live in that truth.  Luke 1:45 says Blessed is she who believes that God will fulfill his promises to her.  The scriptures says promises.  I am  blessed when God fulfills one promise..that He will never leave me or forsake me.

With this faith and promise - You can respond to God's calling on your life you can destroy the enemies of your past - procrastination, disorganization, lack of follow through, pride, envy, jealousy, fear, confusion. He will cut these things down. You can't make it without Him.  Be blessed in knowing he will be there and  you will make it.

Author and Exhorter Ashley Porter shared that God is opening hidden doors. He is doing a new thing.  Old systems will not work with what is next in your life.  You need to fearlessly prepare for what God is calling you to in 2017.
