Jeremiah 17:5-8
contrasts a person who depends on their flesh and a person who depends on
God. The scriptures are very descriptive:
- a bush in the wasteland versus a tree planted by the water
- living in parched places vs not fearing the heat
- not seeing prosperity when it comes vs having green leaves always and never failing to bear fruit even in a drought.
God has told us that we can prosper even in a season of famine and lack.
Are you grounded in
God enough to withstand the next phase?
If you have areas that need reinforcing, there is still time. God does not need a lot of time. Lay it out before Him. Confess, be open, be real transparent. Allow Him to speak to the situation. You have to deal with the issue. You cannot hide it from God.
Reread Jeremiah
17:5-8 with an open heart and mind. There is an area of your life that you have not shared with God, you
are depending on yourself, to handle it and that is not God's way. You can trust God to keep you, don't be afraid that it will not turn out all right.
There are a just a
few more days to the fast. You can make
it. God can still do it.
