2017 Day 8 - Establish Your Faith

But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead. James 2:18 - 26

You make your declaration about what you believe by what you do!   Ok…let's talk about yesterday.  Somebody told you that it was Sunday.  You believed them and you acted like it was Sunday.  You went about your Sunday business.

Someone told you when you were in high school that you were a student.  You believed them and went to school, studied, did homework, went to games and parties. You were a high school student. You did not go to the college campus, you went to high school.

Someone said you work at this company and this is your job.  You believed them and you get up and go to that office and sit at that desk and you do that job. You don't go the  building across the street or sit in someone else's office.

What happens when your actions align with your belief in God's word?  You act based on your belief not based on what you see.  Your beliefs are known by your actions with the little things. Be intentional in your actions.

Matthew 25:23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
