2017 Day 16 - Superhuman

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

My Pastor Dr. Damone Paul Johnson tells us not to read the bible to quickly..you will miss something.  This powerful scripture that many of us learned as children starts off with a "but".  This means that something was said before it and it is connected to this statement.  What was said before that statement…Isaiah 40:29-30 says "He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall".

When your cell phone is weak, you plug it into a power source and it gets power.  After it is charged, you remove it from its power source and what happens…it gets weak again.  Because there are only so many outlets, they came up with mobile charging.  When you have no access to get direct power, you can get a boost of strength to hold you over until you can reconnect.  That's what verse 29 is talking about God will give power to the weak and a boost of strength to those without might.  I praise God because I have experienced Him giving me power and a boost.

Let's look at verse 30, 'even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.' The brightest, the strongest, the fastest, the one that has what it takes to get the job done, will get tired and possibly fall when they are only relying on their natural ability and talent.

The Bible gives you three options to receive power to do His will, His way to Launch into this next level
1. You can get power and strength when you are weak or without might - for the moment
2. You can use your God-given natural talent and ability - for the short run
3. You can wait on God - for endurance
